Exactus is a state of the art .PST reporting tool. It can do what no other software on the market can. It is designed to read everything in a .PST file including unlimited nesting, multiple container files within container files, embedded e-mails, attachments and objects. Exactus can also read and report if there are any attachments and or embedded attachments/objects in a .PDF file. Which is something few electronic discovery processing program can. 1> Exactus should be the only software running on a computer when processing a .PST file. Microsoft Outlook should be closed when running it. .NET Framework 3.5 needs to be installed on machine(s) running Exactus
2> ****A copy of a .PST file should always be used. That copy should not be used to then run the .PST file thru an electronic discovery processing program. Why? Exactus opens up every attachment and sniffs for embedded items. Thus it changes some file system metadata. This is extremely important. If a law firm is using Exactus and makes a copy that copy should not be given to a vendor to process.****
